Vinod Platinum Triply Stainless Steel 5L Pressure Cooker Review

The Vinod Platinum Triply Stainless Steel Outer Lid Pressure Cooker (5L) is a modern essential for the Indian home, bridging the gap between traditional speed and contemporary health standards. In a country where pressure cookers are the heartbeat of the kitchen—turning a 45-minute open-pot dal into a 5-minute task—this model stands out for its triply construction. Unlike standard aluminium cookers that can leach into food, Vinod uses an 18/8 stainless steel inner layer that is completely non-reactive, making it perfect for preparing North Indian Chole, South Indian Sambar, or West Indian Amti. The 5-liter capacity is the 'Goldilocks' size for Indian households, comfortably serving a family of 4 to 6 people or preparing a wholesome Sunday mutton biryani. The triply 'SAS' base consists of an aluminum core for rapid heat conduction and a magnetic SS 430 outer layer for induction compatibility. This prevents the 'hot spot' issue common in thin-bottom cookers, ensuring your khichdi or rice doesn't burn at the base. Safety is heavily emphasized with a unique pressure indicator that acts as a visual cue, alongside the traditional whistle and a safety valve. The cool-touch bakelite handles are ergonomically designed for the heavy lifting required in joint families. Backed by a 5-year warranty and Vinod’s established service network across India, this ISI-certified cooker is an investment in durability and family health.
